|
|
Hi all,
Does anyone know of a link for a recent detailed road map of Peyia, I am trying to give family directions , although they have been to Peyia before, it was 9 years ago ( alots changed !!)
They arrive late so it will be dark and obviously could end up at the wrong part of Peyia
Thanks,
Teresa |

Hi Teresa, recently I needed to give directions to our apartment in Peyia and in the end went for a DIY map using Google Earth, screen capture (print screen key) and Paint. I made one with a general overview and a detailed one to show the trickier parts of the route. Will find out next month if it worked ...
Here's one I made earlier of the stadium area

Teresa hello, it is a difficult area to map correctly as new roads seem to go in almost daily, so if you do find one let us all know, I used to live in upper mid Peyia and I could see roads going in most days. _________________ Jim... |

Hi Terry, Trev and Hanna, thankyou , with telling them a few landmarks that will get them there and they have promised to have the kettle on for us when we arrive a few days later ,but I said preferably a few cold beers in the fridge
Hi Jim,we haven't been over for a few months so lets hope we don't struggle to find our own place
And Alan, I didn't say it
Now all we have to is arrange a few good nights out and before anyone says come to the CL night out, we fly back to UK at 3.00 pm that afternoon

Just a bit of feedback for your efforts. I emailed those links to my sister-in-law yesterday and in the evening we sat at our computers whilst on the phone and I talked her through the directions, she is now fairly confident she will find it ok, also she was very impressed at how organised I was I had to own up and give you lot the credit !!!
Agree we don't need any more kiosks Jim, but for me they can build as many bakers as they like
Many thanks for your help,

Your neighbour usually hangs out flags of the competing nations at Rugby time, shame they are not arriving on Saturday/Sunday!

Hi cyprustyke, that's just what I have done (told them all the local landmarks) along with the help of the maps, even though the maps could have changed today
Hi Alan, perhaps if that neighbour could fly the Scotland flag a day early, it could not only help them find the way, but also give the team a bit of luck
