Well I made it as big and fast as I could with the thickest legs and fed it loads of insects CB, I don't think I would have done that if it was alive

Whilst talking to my daughter this morning on Skype - she asked, "Should I open this thread about the spider Mum?"
Her fingers must have clicked open before she waited for a reply.
YOU SHOULD HAVE HEARD THE SCREAMING!!!

Will she ever learn - Mum knows best. _________________ New Age Ex Pat. |

Thankfully I am a great believer in the proverb "If you want to live and thrive, let the spider run alive" or it could have cost me a laptop Jim
I don't know about you Maggie but I am the chief spider catcher in our house, I do it very gently with a glass and a piece of paper whilst shielding it from two curious dogs, it's quite a job !!! I must admit if I was catching and releasing something that size I wouldn't be very graceful about it There would be alot of screaming aswell

Yep Teresa,
I'm the spider catcher too.
Strangest thing though; I hardly see any spiders here at all. We used to get loads of them in the West of Scotland but I suppose the reletively warm 'DAMP' climate attracted them.
I have only seen one big 'brute' like the one in CB's posting and thankfully it was dead in the pool.

This spider was on CL last year I think!
I also love the way it gets around the screen and catches all the flies _________________ "In the end only kindness matters" Jim Garnett |
